Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

myipostatus.in publishes publicly available information about Indian IPOs and, if you ask us to, emails you when allotment results are published. This policy explains exactly what we collect and what we do with it. It is deliberately short, because we collect very little.

What we collect

If you sign up for an allotment alert, we store your email address, the IPO you asked about, and the date you signed up. That is the entire record.

We never ask for or store your PAN. Checking an allotment requires a PAN or application number, and that check happens on the exchange’s or registrar’s own official website — we link you there rather than collecting it ourselves. If any page on this site ever asks you to enter a PAN, it is not us.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, address, demat details, or any financial information.

How we use it

Your email address is used for one purpose: to send you the alert you asked for. Specifically, a confirmation email when you sign up, and a notification when allotment results are published for the IPO you selected.

We do not send marketing email. We do not sell, rent, or share your address with any third party, and we never send to purchased or scraped lists.

Consent and unsubscribing

Sign-ups use double opt-in — after you submit your address we send a confirmation link, and nothing further is sent unless you click it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately.

Who processes your data

Emails are sent using Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), and subscriber records are stored in MongoDB Atlas. Both act as processors on our behalf. Our servers are hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, so your data is stored in India.

How long we keep it

Alert records are deleted once the IPO they relate to has been allotted and the notification sent, or within 90 days, whichever is sooner. If you unsubscribe, your address is removed immediately, other than a minimal suppression record kept solely to ensure we do not email you again by mistake.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it. Because the only identifier we hold is your email address, the simplest route is to email us from that address and we will act on it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and uses no third-party analytics service.

We do count page visits, using our own first-party analytics, so we know which pages are useful. When you load a page we record the path, the time, and the website that referred you (the domain only, never the full address).

We do not store your IP address. To count visitors without identifying them, your IP and browser are combined with a secret that changes every day and converted into an irreversible hash. Because the secret rotates daily, the same visitor produces a different value tomorrow — so we can count how many people visited, but we cannot follow anyone over time or work backwards to a person. Nothing is stored on your device, which is why you see no cookie banner.

Analytics records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
